Tour of New Load at the Garden Center + Picking Out/Planting Houseplant Hostess Gifts! I am very much enjoying this tour. I wanted to let you know that after the Christmas tour, I called Andrews and ordered 2 ornaments. All I had to do was describe them. I had them sent to my daughter in Florida. She loves them. Your mom's employees are super.
I do just what your mom does. I buy throughout the year. Thank you for reminding me that plants can be a beautiful hostess gift.

Another lovely video, Laura. The variety is unmatched. I learned so many little tips from you that all add up in the long run.
Your time with your dad and siblings is so precious and sweet.
The balance your parents have taught you all in so many ways is priceless.
Thanking you for sharing that with us falls short of the tremendous impact it has on helping us learn how to better our own lives.
Your impact on us is indescribable.
My favorite potted plant is the ficus.

I hope you know how much you are teaching us, just by repotting a few houseplants! I pick up great tips every single time! Thank you!
My husband used to take our kids out for that day when mom (me) stayed home and wrapped all the gifts! Now our adult kids are spread out across the state, but lovely memories and a tradition I hope they continue!

Love new houseplants as hostess gifts. Question about the Ficus. I have a very similar one (Ficus Benjamina) that is quite large and bushy. I had hoped for it to be more tree-like. Can I just prune off the lower small branches? Is there too much to prune off in one go or can I go for it?

When will the stock of the bird art be up for sale and on their web site? I am loving the HUGE Cranes, the rooster and the Owls! OMG I need them all! Please tell me how to buy. Paying the shipping is no object The pots are stunning too. The balloons are very sweet as well. I'm in Ohio

Oh my do I ever LOVE those terra cotta pots! They looks so adorable with the plants you put in them.
QUESTION: Laura, what are those type of terra cotta pots called so I can ask my local Garden Center to order some. (Ohio, and I never find these)
Thank you for sharing, fun video!

You mentioned using a coffee filter to block the pot hole. I ve always done that but in other videos you have said not to block the hole with anything. Is it safe to use coffee filters and, if not always safe, in what situations is it ok to use them? Thanks!

I'm guessing that your mom just adds a bunch to her orders of things she knows you would like! ;) Wish I could visit Andrews to see everything in person, but your tours are the next best thing. One or two of those cranes would look great by the pond.

How do you get an amaryllis stalk to straighten up if it started growing crooked? I had one that I had in a bag and it started growing before I remembered I needed to pot it up and the stalk is short, but at basically a 90 degree angle

Omg! the prices! Come to the Netherlands! it's a third or quart of the price. For the little fern we would pay some 4 euro's, amaryllis 6-7, cactus plantjes around 5-6. Love love those terracotta little pots!

Laura, what a special tradition you and your siblings share with your dad. I love all the plants and how you arranged them, but I won t be able to choose just one and may need to have them all

I have not watched to the end, but wow, that is a handsome rooster! If he were in the flower bed by the chicken coop where the ladies can see him, what a tease that would be! He is might fine

Ok Laura, save some of those pots for us
Oh how I wish I lived close enough to shop at Andrew s, I love it all! Going shopping for a couple of pots this morning. Have a fabulous day everyone!

When I was a kid, my aunt and I would smear all-natural peanut butter over pinecones, roll them in bird seed and hang them from trees - the birds loved it (and so did the squirrels!
reply

Good morning! Enjoyed the plants! Love Andrew s and will be calling shortly to order some pots and a couple of other things I saw with the quick walk through. Gosh I wish I lived closer!
