Laura these look great! I dug up my geraniums that I started from seed last year. (thanks to you. They got hidden by my hydrangeas and never got very big. So I put 6 in a pot and brought in to a sunny window. They are thriving. After watching this video I think I'm going to repot each into its own pot so they will continue to get bigger. You were right, they are so easy to start from seed. I don't have a green house just a sunny bay window. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us. It helps so much!

I love that pot. I have a lovely Kumquat too. The new leaves that it was producing have turned slightly yellow after we had a cold snap of -4. It was sitting in my patio area but obviously even being in the patio was not enough to protect it from that drop in temperature! Hoping that when it flushes out with new growth it will correct itself - I may give it a boost with some citrus feed too and see if that helps at all. Loved this video - felt very chilled but informative as always. Have a blessed day. Xxx

I love-love that we re potting and still growing on! Makes me feel so hopeful that winter might not be that long after all. I m wondering if I could start seeding some perennials and possibly moving them out to sheltered space around March, when I need to start most of the annuals and veggies. I m zone 7b, so we don t really get hard frost. That could alleviate the some shortage of space through March and April on my indoor seed starting shelves.

Well I just re-discovered why it's so dangerous to watch your videos before I go to work. Now I want to go putter in my garden instead! And one more request. I laughed out loud when you talked about the florist who would through your Mom's wreath/garland against the wall to see if it stayed together. Can you try that? LOL! Thanks for all the wonderful content! So appreciated.

Regarding saucers for pots not sure if you would like this idea but I recently saw an idea to repurpose old glass (crystal or the like) plates or dishes like you see at estate sales, flea markets and antiques stores. I thought I d start keeping an eye out for some that are affordable and good sizes. Maybe give a second life to some things that seem not be as used these days.

I grew up up in south Florida. Kumquat trees were the perfect climbing tree because the branches were low enough for a 10 year to reach and the added benefit of a fresh fruit snack. We ate until the corners of our mouth burned. lol. This video triggered a wonderful childhood memory for me. The geraniums in your greenhouse are beautiful. Love your videos.

I love these puttering around the greenhouse winter projects. And I really look forward to all your downtime projects each winter, too. Provides excellent inspiration for some of my own projects I d like to get started on. (Like the cemeterarium I wanted to start for some green Halloween decor, but never got around to)

I started maverick white pelargoniums from seed last spring. I had wanted red, but only white was available, but what a pleasant surprise they turned out to be. It was lovely to spend time with you and Benjamin potting up plants. Thanks kindly!

Good morning! Just a nice simple project to get done. I love geraniums & they were my husband s favorite too. I think I need some seed starter kits to plant the seeds I already have. You had a great helper too. Good to see Russell and Cheddar.

You inspired me to plant geranium seeds! It is so interesting to watch them as they grow, always a miracle in my mind. I was hoping you would do a next step video with the geranium seedlings. Thank you! I m assuming those are 3-4 pots?

Laura, I believe you have your new assistant in Benjamin
Do you ever have to drain the saucers under pots in Hartley?
Have you ever needed to drill holes in bottom of fancy planting pots?
Thanks again

You inspired me to plant geranium seeds, too. Mine are a few weeks behind yours. Would you consider selling small portions of gnatrol to your viewers? I want to try it but can not warrant buying the giant tub.

I ve done geraniums from seed. They say they don t need pinching off to branch. But mine always look thin and leggy. Any suggestions? And do you pinch yours to encourage a bushy plant?

Good morning Laura and Benjamin! Always good to see your helper learning more about what his parents do. The red and white geraniums will be lovely this Spring. Hugs from N. C.

Your geraniums are beautiful, Laura. The peach colored at the end are very pretty, too.
Thank you for a peaceful, relaxing tutorial on kumquats and geraniums.

I m sorry I was not looking at you and kind of spaced out at the end. What a beautiful view from your planting station in the Hartley! Have a great day everyone!

C-plant looks ideal in that tall pot. I was wondering how you Pelargonium seeds were doing, as I really like the white one, even though I'm not a Pelargonium fan.

It's so amazing to think back when there was just a dirt floor in The Hartley to now potting up seedlings amongst other beautiful plants in a gorgeous space.
