Planting Lots of Amaryllis for the Nursing Home Residents! -Longfield Gardens generously donated 20 Amaryllis bulbs for the residents at our local nursing home. Today I'm potting them up and delivering them! Here are some other videos I've done on Amaryllis care and how to get them to rebloom

Two questions. Can you share your instruction care sheet so others could print it out for a similar thing. It-s a lovely idea for any time of the year. Sometimes Amaryllis bulbs go on sale after the winter holidays.
2nd question. about how long do your amaryllis blooms last once they open? Do you have a trick for prolonging the flower stage? (Whoops, 3 questions.

What a beautiful and kind project. I hope the residents love the beauty. I am a master gardener too and doing meaningful volunteer work is always so rewarding. Wouldn't it be special if these all bloomed on Christmas? Thanks for your inspirational video.

Oh wow! That was so sweet of her to do! The care tags are such a great idea too! I'm a firm believer in give & you shall receive & that is what has happened here- & now all you had to give was a little time!

What a precious, intentional and thoughtful example of serving/loving your 'neighbor' that will bring joy.

Please ask for the bulbs back after blooming. They cost up to $24 each. And they can be replanted next year.
