Finally, I start building my own log cabin on my property near Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada. In this video, I cut some trees down, dig a foundation and build a rock cart / log dolly for bringing building materials to the site of the log cabin

Ive been watching your videos since lockdown in South Africa March 2020 and its been so grounding and relaxing for me and the family. We actually cleared out the workshop and did some cool projects thanks to you. Also, I watched the most recent stuff first, so seeing the early decisions, and the views around is inspiring. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your videos! Im buying land in maine and i plan to build a log cabin as a first time builder. The land im looking at only has hemlock for majority. Can i use these? If i decide on another property is there any type of trees that cant be used?

It's extremely difficult to follow ur videos in a proper order. I hv tried my best to find a way but failed. In one video u r showing ur very first cutting of tree and laying it on the ground and the next one pops with a while cabin completed. So frustrated.

Hello Shawn I have a question? When building the cabin, how do you keep the outside walls level with each other. Do you try to keep them level with each other or are you going for a certain height at the top.
I really like your work. THANKS.

Great Work Sir. I am also looking for a good remote area to explore and start building. I am from the region and I would like to ask you where would be a good remote location? How did you find your location?

I'd leave 4 stumps in the ground. Build off that. They aren't going to sink. They're there. Above ground as much as you want. Start from there.

Looking at that cart, I DEFINITELY think that an ATV and/or snowmobile (as discussed in another video of yours) would be a good idea lol

So is there a part two to this because you basically just said what you were going to do but we didnt get to see the finished product
