Omg, I am listening to your video where you wasn't dedicated to soccor because your mind is racing on to a new thing. I am telling you keep your mind going and explore everything you can. This is a wonderful big world and I am like you. I could never settle for a tv, etc. I took my t v totally out of my room. Haven't had one several yrs and never want one. If I need to check something out I get on the internet and find it. I have always dreamed of the next corner. the next curve. I was lucky to have got to travel all over the Us since my husband was in the service so we was in several states. I had a dream of going to Costa Rica and began to read up on it and come across a book that blue my mind away: The Blue Zone by Dan Buettner on eating healthy and living to be over 100 and still working and loving life with family and friends. He has 4 books out now and they are amazing. He is like you lives life to the fullest He has one or two sites on Ted and you can go to his website. Awesome guy along with his brother. In his time in Costa Rice I got so interested I went there and it is an amazing place to be. They do not waste food, wood, anything they can use. They are very low on sweets live a sweet life. Sorry for so long but so interesting and yes never spot yourself in one dream There is an awesome world out there. This that you have done here has blessed do many of us. I am 77 and been through so much of what you are doing and love it. To see you with the tools we used when I was young is just awesome. I love your site so much and thank you for sharing so much with all of us. Thank you and God Bless you always Ps. would I climb that ladder to the roof. You bet I would. I been blessed with a will and good health to do what I want including hiking. Have dreamed of hiking the Appalachian Train from Ga to the end of it. Awesome thought of what all I would see and people I would meet along the way.

Great video Shawn, and truly inspiring your story. I know this is an older video but as I seem research Into living my dream I keep stumbling into your videos. I plan on buying land in North Eastern On in about 7 years when my kids are out of high school, want to start a homestead and live year round on my land. I love this roofing technique for its simplicity and cost effectiveness. Now that you have had it on for a few years, how is it holding up? How does it handle in the winter months? Debating using this system not only to roof, but seal up my timber frame home when I build it on my land. Is there anything you wish you would have done differently or are planning on changing? Keep doing what you're doing brother, follow your heart and listen to your soul.

Wow dude that roof is a lot of work! Passion for something is the key of life. I'm 60 and still have passion for what I do and enjoy learning every single day. I'm restricted by illness now and frustrated but can enjoy your passion as well as others by proxy. I've been a woodworker and site carpenter all my life, I have a wonderful shop and can't get in there now. I've discovered sketching, a little tame compared to you, but it fills my mind and hours. Take care dude and thanks.

I have never met anyone who thought the same as I do in my 38 years. Those passions for something new all the time is what I crave, and everyone I know puts me down about it because I never stay put in one thing. I am very much an outdoors person who dreams of doing all the same things you are doing now, in addition to other things such as sailing the world, and hiking long trails. So, its good to know Im not alone out there.

You have perfectly right, passion is the first. Without passion you could not able to do nothing. Passion is priority to approach every thinks. I am, for hobby, knives maker. And when passion is lack I am not able to work and if I work without passion I make not good thinks

Hi, Mr. Shawn, you really have got a good mini-mic, even you stand so far away, we still can hear you clearly without any wind sound. I'm curious what brand it is and what type.
