Years ago I had some holes that I always confident catching my limit and had the holes all to my self! These days you better just camp the night before to beat the crowd 1st 2nd and 3rd Shift now days after Steelhead! Nothing lasts forever Chris, people paths becoming bigger wider starting to look like cattle paths! I wish to god the DNR would close season when Steelhead spawn and reduce limit from 3 to 1 per day! I think in the summer they lay in white water to increase oxygen flowing through there gills and cooler water also, and have a better chance getting a meal as soon as it drops over the falls! Great video WB! Enjoy your catch my friend!

Thank you for the trout fishing tips. I have actually gone into trout streams with either mask, fins & snorkel or with scuba. I always find the trout near where the water is falling into the lower pool. They are near the force, but you can't see them from the surface because of the moving of the water. Some falls can be dangerous because the force of the current could push a person into a submerged, fallen tree, or the falls could be like a -low-head dam- where the hydraulic of the water could pin and hold a person. Low-head dams are known as drowning machines.

i can't believe u kept that little 10 inche brookie. You keep saying about area's being fished out maybe if u guys don't take every fish you catch there will be more fish for everyone try fly fishing and catch and release then u don't have to worry about places being fished out!

I love fishing trout in waters like this. It is always good when you can limit out. Although with survival I usually would Follow what Nessmuk would do just catch what you will eat at that time.

How do Brook trout swim up the falls? Some of those falls are steep and high. Do the trout actually jump up like salmon? I've never seen this.

That's not necessarily true about the fish not getting bigger I've caught some fish over Two to three pounds and bigger in fast moving water
