I actually searched _eating fish guts_ because I have been doing this for years now and just recently started wondering that aren't other people doing this. My local supermarket sells this small fish named vendace (aka Coregonus albula, aka European cisco) whole with lower price than with gutted. I always have been buying them and just frying them on the pan just like that. I was visiting my relatives couple of days ago and when I did that with the fish they had they were disgusted, but I though that it's healthier to eat all because than you are eating the liver and kidneys as well, which are highly nutritious. Like what's wrong this that? Cooking the fish good will kill all possible parasites and bacteria, so it should be good to eat - at least that's what I think.

Keep up the great content, living vicariously through you and the rest of YouTube. The whole of central BC is on lockdown from the fires so no fishing/hunting/berry picking/ bushcrafting for the rest of summer for me. These videos get a guy pumped up and rearing to get outside, but the crown land closures, raining ash and thick smoke sure put a damper on a guys day. Never tried trout cheeks but growin up we'd fight over who got the cheeks when fishing for springs. Good stuff. Stay safe and keep yer stick on the ice.

Kinda weird how people think fish guts is bad but eat hotdogs and other mechanically separated foods, I-d take the guts every time, just a guess but I-m sure there a lot more beneficial in nutritional terms than most the foods people eat.

Iv heard stories of people being stuck out at sea and after awhile the body doesn't desire the flesh but the eyes brains and liver of fish. Much like bears when food is plentiful. Great vid and thumbs up as always mate.

Fish Heads, liver and heart. I'd eat those. But I don't think the rest should be eaten. - I'll probably fry them in bear fat.
