Hey Wooded Beardsman, (I don't know if you're okay with us using your firstname. I can't remember if you have introduced the second helper. I know your brother from your older vids.
Your son should be really proud of you and he is very lucky to have him. (Going to get a little emotional from this point) I know I would be happy to have a father like you are.
I never really had a father figure in my life. I just recently reconnected with my father and I am happy to have done so. There is so much shit going on nowadays with people hating on men and women saying they don't need men to raise children. I, sadly from own experience, know that probably, if any, only a hand full of women could do it alone. But the father is one of the most important people in a boys life.
What you are doing is always great. Love your videos. Always getting hungry if you cook something outdoors. I even get water in my mouth watching the cutting of an animal. I used to have problems with it when I was younger. Gladly I accepted that this is how we humans survive and started learning about butchering.
After watching your Videos I really wanted to get out, do something. Learn how to hunt. You are a top motivator right now. Sadly here in Germany it's a lot harder to start all of this. But I got a friend from university who is a hunter. Hope I can get into it with his help.

man he went all out on the tractor! now he just needs an ole chevy one ton dually dump box he will be stylen! i had an ole 1978 and it made life easy for delivering firewood etc. My grandpa had a saw mill near Elmwood! hour and change south of Guelph. his mill had a saw with a BIG ole blade! He was 100 when he passed in 1999! Mill was sold, soon after tore down, that sucked! I spent alot time there as he had 100 acres and a couple gravil pits on it. i had a old Datson field car lol i learned to drive when i was 13 that dad painted canary yellow lol i thought i had it all. also had a mint enduro dirtbike. and prob the best day of my life was when grandpa says i can use his savage over under 22 410 rifle! i was 13 so there wasnt a critty around that was safe with a pocked full of 22 shells and 410 shells in my pocket lol! town kids might of had nintendo but i had Savage, Datson, and Kawasaki lol

I left some bark on my cabins loft support logs and once I finished and started heating the cabin; I ended up with carpenter ants, powder post beetles, and jack beetles boring and hatching all over my logs. had to peel them in place, spray an insecticide and coat them in a poly. Lots of eggs under there! Great Cabin design!

Guys love the build and your work ethic. A couple of your building practices kind of make me nervous, one being the loft beams being bolted into the end. They should be sitting on top of that beam. It now looks like your doing the same thing on the last piece you added to the deck?

I don't know how youtube just got around to finally suggesting me one of your videos today? I'm also building a small cabin in the woods. My Rafters are also Ash, boy is it hard to drive a nail into! Mine dried for 3 years on site, it's hard as a rock.

Probably would have been a good idea to bring down some of the trees on the path to the cabin. You would have a nice path you could bring a car or 4 wheeler down.
