I'm not sure, but it looks like you have installed a particle board floor that was out in the weather and wet.
If that is correct, don't you worry about the particle board becoming weak and rotted?
It seems that there was so much other great wood, like the cherry tree for example that could have been used on the floor.

If you saw my -new homestead- I bet you would flip out. The -stream shot- made me think of the property I am purchasing for my -forest farm. - A year round spring fed stream with a dammed up section forming a small deep pond. The vertical drop from the dam is going to allow me to build a water wheel hydroelectric plant.

Sad to see the result but glad he got the experience, I havent fell many trees of my own but he got nervous on the relief, I've seen to much relief create disasters but not enough makes for a very unpredictable fall, but as he said, they took the proper precautions to make this a successful fall.

i dont mean to be a one upper. but here in south western Ontario, hour north of Guelph ironically. that would hardly be above the minimum size for hard maple. nothing to cut em down that 2 people cant reach around. when they hit the ground, the whole area, the ground shakes!

Thanks for another fun, informative episode. Cabin builds are always good. Was wondering why a faller from Guelph doesn't use a guide bar manufactured in Guelph. If Stihl is the best option, that's great. But otherwise, why not buy local?
