We catch monster Dolphin Fish (Dorado or Mahi-Mahi, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, and Sharks at Tropic Star Lodge in Panama. On the first day out of tropic star lodge, Capt. Richard White (the fishing director of the lodge) came with us, and we headed offshore to find floating debris with fish on it.
After catching and releasing a few sharks, we finally managed to hook a huge bull dolphin and get him in the boat. The sharks became a nuisance to the live bait, so we switched to lures and got back on the mahi! We caught three more before wrapping up the evening.
On day two, I headed back out offshore in search of blue marlin, and very early on, we hooked up! Unfortunately, that fish broke off by the boat, and we finished the day catching more mahi! Date: 2022-06-23
