To us in the NE he is not properly identifying these fish. I did not see one Atlantic Bonito in this video, they are schooling False Albacore. Bonito have teeth like a baracuda and are much much smaller than average Albacore. Bonito is fantastic eating. I was confused watching the video and then figured they just call them that since FL may not actually have Bonito? Why would you falsely nickname fish lol. Thats like saying your catching bluefish when your catching amber jacks.

Eastern portions of American fishermen like shown in vid here, REALLY need to learn to use baitcasting reels, & get rid of those garbage coffee grinder spinning reels, when fishing for large game. it's hilarious to me watching so many vids all over YouTube, where people are getting schooled & spooled, using their coffee grinders for the large & strong saltwater fish. - LOL

You can too eat a bonita, they have saved the daily dinner down in Andros multiple times for my neighbors. Admittedly, I have never caught that type, only the type that has perfectly strait stripes.

I'm a freshwater fisherman and not too experienced on Bonita. My question is why target Bonita when there seems to be plenty of fighting fish that you can eat? This just seems like a shark feeding session.

Josh you are lucky. You get to go out on the ocean all the time. I live far from and ocean the nearest ocean for me is like 650 miles. Not super far but, still a big drive. Or for me anyways.

in Australia we call them Mack tuna or mackerel tuna because of the mackerel pattern on the rear of the fish and our bonito are a small tuna species with strips running down the side of it
