I headed 130 miles off the coast of Florida with Capt. Blake to a special place called the Middle Grounds with one goal: catch as many fish as possible Our trip was nothing short of epic At our first location, we were catching mangrove snappers on the surface (I never knew that mangrove snappers would feed on the surface in 80ft of water. Once we caught enough snappers, we then moved another 60 miles offshore to search for some groupers. Blake and I started with vertical jigs and then moved to live bait. We caught giant almaco jacks, amberjacks, monster red snappers and some really nice gag groupers. We stayed offshore overnight and grilled some steaks. Blake and I had a blast catching squid with a dip net while we waited for the next bite. In the morning, we packed up and moved to another location where there was a large population of red snappers. It didn't take long for us to catch our two-day limit of red snappers. Overall, we caught over 100 fish and has an epic time in the Middle Grounds

Hi, guys. Many fish, especially members of the tuna/mackerel family, bleed profusely when hooked. If you land a few bonito, not to mention true tunas, you will find the deck covered in blood. I wonder. if you are going to release a bleeding fish would it be a good idea to put a drop of super glue on their wounds before releasing them? One of the common uses for Cyanoacrylate, aka super glue, is as a surgical tool to stop bleeding. Would it work on fish? I would think that it might be a good idea to take a Q-Tip to the wound, to dry it off, and then apply a small drop of super glue. It should stop the bleeding and then, after a day or so, the slime secretions should slough it off. I love to eat fish but I also release most of the fish I catch and I want to give them the best chance at surviving. Do y'all think a drop of super glue would improve their chances? Has this idea ever been pursued? I really want to knowCheers

Used to watch blacktiph for a couple years. Not a fan now. Very arrogant Im a loyal fan of Rob (dearmeatfordinner. After watching this video and watching this punk blame others for his failures, it left a bad taste. Not to mention his desire to be the only one in the limelight. This kid not the only one with good equipment. Thumbs down.

Amber jacks meat texture is so saggy and not all that great taste wise based on my experience catching them. Is that why you throw them back in the water Josh or is there a rule I dont know about in your area?

The other day in the Everglades I caught a Goliath grouper in the flats by the Everglades. I have no idea why she was there but the captain estimated it to be 300 pounds and I caught it on a 16, 000 reel.
