Here in London we eat them all the time they are delicious, sold in the fish n chip shops we call it rock salmon or huss or some times rock eel. lovely to eat with proper chips not thin french fries you have. cooked in a beer batter with the backbone still in. they taste sweet lovely with some malt vinegar on. have a tip-top week from London

Plenty of these in the UK we call them spurdogs. By-catch from the trawlers of them is sometimes sold in fish and chip shops called 'rock salmon' but I've never heard of a reactional fisherman eating them I think they are endangered here

I've been saying for years that there should be a complete ban on commercial fishing for the likes of cod, haddock etc for a few years and solely target dogfish.
The waters are full of them and they are nice eating.

During the dog days of summer, they re so common. They ll eat about anything. My brother used 3 month old bottom of the freezer bunker, chunked it, and caught a couple of dog fish in quick succession.
