That's funny, most of us kids of the 60's got our start on those close faced reels, now they have pretty much been regulated to little kid outfits.
Brian, you probably remember the Popeil Pocket Fisherman, I always wanted to take one of those out and blow it up on a big salmon, but I don't think I could set the hook. :) Shakespeare used to make serious close faced reel, my grandfather had one for years.

So funny, my wife and I met the same way, she was a legal assistant and I was the attorney in the back, and about a year later we started dating, then tied the knot, and now two kids, both fish! Our 12 year anniversary coming up in sept. Thanks guys for the fun videos! See you later.

You guys should try Mustads Kaiju Hooks. I stopped using trebles more than a decade, they too much damage to the fish's mouth. Used normal j hooks and then moved on to circle hooks.
