Hey Darcizzle, great job! As a long time fish cleaner if I may give an opinion for ease of skinning fish. Your technique is great but try pulling the fillet closer to the edge of the board. Then you can keep the handle of the knife off the board and the blade can cut straight. Bending the blade works but can put lots of pressure on the fillet skin. Keep on catchin

I usually cook the whole fish, but the next time I catch a moon fish I'll cook it, last week I couldn't find any live bait fish so I caught a moon fish and cut it into pieces(steaks) and something big ate it and lost the big fish this happened three times something huge ate that bait, my guess is that bright skin that it has its very attractive.

I'm glad you wear the hat Carl made you, but since you brought up the subject. Yes BEND the brim. it's been distracting us for months now: -) Please tell him Carl! and whether you take the tags off or not (at least take off the store hook for displaying. The tags are left remaining attached to let people know you stole it: -)ha!

next time dont cut the meat from the tail. Just flip it over the tail when you get close to it then skin it. The tail will hold the skin and makes it a lot easier to skin. I just put my hand on the meat and cut away.
Try it grilled next time YUM

I know you had the Homestead Homies, Doug and Traci on your boat. I would suggest you watch their video on making ghee, and use that to cook you fish in instead of butter. It has a higher flash point and works great for pan frying stuff.

Love your videos but get a new knife to clean those thin fish. It seems not flexible and has a clunky fat handle. We catch and eat Look downs all the time here in the keys.

I would love to see another catch and cook moonfish video. I think you should be able to catch them on strips of calamari or shrimp. Great job and looking forward to your next video.
