Those are some awesome snappers! Next time you scale fish try using a good stiff fork. Or a stiff tablespoon. Either one works good, but a fork works a bit better. Use the fork like it's a rake, if you grab it down close to the fork park and face the head of the fish toward you, you can rake the scales right off. It's easier and better than using a knife.

Darcy just a bit of advice when scaling a fish like that instead of using the back of your filet knife get a large kitchen spoon it works much better it scales the fish much quicker and you don't get covered with fish scales just a bit of advice I've been fishing in scaling fish with spoons for almost 60 years it is a phenomenal piece of equipment.

Best scaler ever. used to make them all the time as a kid. Take a piece of scrap wood and nail a bottle cap from one of your Landsharks to it (we used to use Coke bottle tops. showing my age. You might have to use two bottle caps next to each other. Those snapper are a little bigger than a yellow Perch; -)

you said dolphin a few times in this vid, and it made me think, do actual dolphins get caught from this type of fishing by accident? Just curious is all, and i know the chances are very slim i'd imagine, could you please reply sizzle or pudding: ) x

We in Sicily do pesce al sale as a traditional recepie
Placing a couple of potatoes in the the belly prevents salt getting in and the are delicious with oil and fish meat
