Hey. I'm from Oregon, but i lived in Sarasota for almost a year. One day i headed south down the coast until i found what looked like some short dirt road off to the shore. I found an old hardly used dock there like the one near your boat here. Just as i started rigging up a line, the water in the area kindof exploded with action. A big school of fish was swarming up against the shore and dock right under my feet. The thing is, i could feel the fish hitting the pilings under me. What kind of big fish were schooled up back there? I did notice some dolphins out in the water way just as i was approaching, so used to think that maybe those dolphins pinned them up right in that spot. Now days though, i'm thinking that the dolphins actually used me as part of the plan. Thoughts? Am i way off or is that what happened? I couldn't ID the fish other than big silver flashes and almost white water ripples of fury.

Happy B Day Darcy. Great video. Heading for boca grande tomorrow on the west coast to slay some sheepshead. I grew up at a marina in the Fl Keys, saving too many pelicans to count. It helps to know that they cant really hurt you. That beak is only dangerous if you react and pull away. Then that hook can do some damage. If you remain calm they can grab your arm all they want and it wont hurt. Learned that the hard way back in the 70s. Keep up the good work guys. Yall are awesome in your approach and attitude towards fishing and boating, and life in general. Take care. Hope to see yall on the water some day.

Those sheepshead sure are fun to catch. And eat. Good job with Mr. pelican. And yeah, they are a pain in the ass. To say the least. I still have to try sheepshead tacos. I bet they are killer with that firm meat. And a big ol slice of avocado, Maaan. Now we talking. Oh, happy birthday Darci. I bet you are old enough now to buy a liquor drink. LOL. Funny story I was fishing off No Name Bridge and a lil fella about 11. had this pelican, screaming for help which made it a whole lot worse! So this pelican is beating the kid up I kept telling him to let it go. I had a fish on the line so the only help he was getting was my advise! The kid was beaten by a bird. I will never forget that day he should have listened!
