Exploring the wonderful rugged Cornish Coast on the Lizard Peninsular. Starting around Cadwith, a small historic fishing Cove and working our way along to Poltesco. One of the things making this part of Cornwall unique is the abundance of Sperpentinite - Serpentine stone. We visit the Old Serpentine works before having a beachcomb and scavenge in the rock pools of Kennack Sands. Finally ending our day back in Cadgwith watching one of the local boats - Silver Queen; land up the beach. This is a follow on video from a previous coastal exploring video, here is the link to that. - Fishing life as they know it in the Cove could be at risk of coming to an end, the 3 main buildings which have historically been used by the fishermen are at risk of being purchased for development. This would instantly change this way of life. The Cadgwith Fishing Cove Trust are hoping to purchase the buildings to ensure their safety and use for fishing for the future. Here is a link to the crowdfunded page should you wish to learn more and help out

Cadgwith, what can I say. I'm lucky enough to have visited over 40 countries now, but my -Emmet- heart belongs in this perfect place. I first visited Cadgwith in around 1963 and well remember the old fishermen sitting on the stick smoking their pipes and most of the younger ones (young back then anyway, being utterly dismissive towards those of us who were just visiting the place. I say this not to offend anyone but to recognise the truth of the place. The cove is still a REAL fishing community, a working environment, not a tourist attraction - and long may it continue to stay as such. I only learned of this Crowdfunder effort through this excellent film of yours and have been happy to donate a little in order to save these buildings for those that work the boats and earn their living in those waters. Thanks for this film, and all your other excellent films.

First place I saw a Basking Shark up close was in Cadgwith Bay. A memory that I treasure. I swam with it for a short while it couldn't have cared less it was far too busy eating. Glad for the crowd funding link John. I wouldn't have known otherwise. Sent a little donation and truely hope it helps. If just half of this videos viewers donated the target could be had. Good luck to the project. All the best as always to the family mate.

Great video, John, especially the drone footage.
I was walking on our local beach last year with my Grandson and we came upon a thornback ray, the fishermen had just cut the wings off and dicarded the body, my Grandson shouted out - grandad look it's a crocodile-.
It's so good to see the beautiful scenery of Cornwall, please keep it comeing.

It made me chuckle when you found those balanced stones. Me and my friends back when we were in art college used to go to the local beaches and balance sones like that. We-d make some lovely little natural sculptures just from balancing multiple stones together. I always wondered how people would react when they stumbled across them -

Great video as always - I particularly enjoyed the drone footage. The sequence of the waves breaking over the rocks and looking like spider webs almost is totally stunning - beautiful photography. I've got a Holy Stone 720E and am struggling to get decent videos. Do you mind if I ask which drone you use?

Brilliant john no amount of money could buy that sunrise and that walk priceless what a lovely part of the country it would be a crying shame if the development men got there hands on that area we have lost a lot of our heritage over the country we can't afford to lose any more keep safe tight lines

That was a beautiful video thank you I was wondering the first Beach you came to had a lot of blue rock on it do you think it would be ok to take a few pieces I don't want a lot like I just want a little bit so I can put it in a fish tank but obviously I'm wondering if that would be ok -

Great video! Used to have the whole summer a Kennack Sands as a child, then as a parent brought my kids to stay at small camp site just outside of St Keverne. Know the coastal path around the Lizard very well. Thanks for sharing this, brings back some great memories! All The Best, Carl

Epic stuff and a stunning location!
With the scorpion fish please be very careful if you ever come to Australia, the stone fish here is very similar but its sting is lethal!
Everything that crawls, slithers or swims over here is likely to kill you.

Another brilliant video. I noticed some of your drone shots were a bit stuttery(might have been my tv) this is something I struggled with. It can be to do with your bit rate not being suitable for your frame rate on export. Still a brilliant video. :)
