An overview of my late August 2016 trip to Lac Evans in northern Quebec with Bushland Adventures. Evans is a sprawling James Bay lowland lake with an average depth of 10-15 feet. It's also a prolific body of water that pumps out ridiculous numbers of trophy sized pike up to and over 50 every year!
There are three different outpost camps operating in different areas of the lake, all run by Bushland Adventures. If you're a hardcore trophy pike nut and don't need the frills and luxuries of a fancy lodge then Evans is for you. I loved it and can't wait to get back!
