I love seeing you in the shop, never used to think youd be that kinda yet at the same time its fitting. This winter I plan to play with some Bondo mold making to copy but alter some of my favorite plastics. Been doing jigs/tying for many years but yet to make the plastisol order.

I struck out last weekend of September for shallow lakers. Water was warm and no fish, 2 days later my cousin was fishing in Sioux Lookout and they were catching trout in 70 feet of water! Missed the window in NW Ontario since trout closes end of September.

Hey love the video, as I watch all your videos. Id just suggest to stop gilling these lakers if your going to put them back. Its pretty bad for their health and I assume you care about these fish, besides that great video.

But don't use the same microwave you cook food in to cook your plastics! The plastic releases toxic fumes that you don't want getting into stuff your eating! Very important to mention that!

i was looking into getting into making my own baits but i was told u need to do it outside or in a very well ventilated space? is that the case as it looks like ur in a garage?

i was in northern quebec in late august and the temps were at 53 and we were catching them n 35-70 feet. We caught them with big spoons and jigs. In just one hour we caught 15!

Wish I lived a few hours closer to Lake Michigan. Still thinking about hitting up Haataja for some action. Closest body of water I know about for trout/ salmon

Informative and fun to watch! Thanks for making this video Jay. Always wanted to make my own stuff. Even better when you catch fish on it: ) Tight lines!
