330 Conibear will work just fine. Set the trap half under water so if the beaver is coming up on shore where the beaver run is, it will be caught. Cover the trap with some grass from shore for those shy beavers. A wire with a one way slide tied to a block is the most humane if you have to destroy the beaver. Beavers are STRONG, so be sure the trap is well secured to the wire.

Want to fish but thin ice is on the lake? Go to a spillway where a bigger lake drains out, and fish there. The moving water will not freeze over easily. That's the kind of place I target for mostly teethy critters in the cold months. It's good enough for a few hammer handles to hang out, and bite for you, on moving baits with blades like inline spinners.

IAM a trapper been doing it 26 years this year Get you a 330 conabear it's a killer trap u set it in the beaver slide The beaver goes Thur the trap and is dead Or a #3 or bigger foot trap and set it in the water in the slide and wire it to a singer block the beaver gets caught and drowns Good luck trapping are VA season just opened last week

A great way to take care of the green sunfish would be to stock some wipers. They will do a lot better job than trying to angle for them. Plus they are a sterile hybrid so you will not have an issue with them overtaking the pond. One more huge plus is they are an awesome sport fish Win, win, win

Maybe slipped your mind. But, why dont you have some sort of big stick or ice breaking tool of sorts? Lol, launching the boat was fun to watch. But why not try and break up the area a bit first? Heck, even throw a few big rocks in to crack it up.

Kill the beavers Two years ago on our hunting land we had 2 beaver that made a small dam on a 1 acre pond and thought nothing of it. Now theres over 10 beaver and they flooded at least 10 acres of our 40 acre property

Find the lodge to wipe out the whole colony. Use conibear 330s and set in front of lodge entrances, usually 2 of them. Also, make a pot roast from the back hind quarters. You will not be disappointed

Just make sure that everyone is on the same page when that trap door is flipped or your boat may accidentally end up with a hole in it or shellshock from gun(s) going off in closed quarters.
