I'm planning on buying a 7: 1: 1 gear ratio bait caster and pair it with a 6'6 medium, fast action Rod. I want to be able to throw shallow and even mid diving cranks. I also want to be able to throw baits like spinnerbaits, chatter baits, and even jigs. And some other baits. Any better suggestions? I'm trying to stay under 150-200.

What is a good gear ratio for crankbaits and what is a good rod that works well for cranks baits but also other baits like jigs, spinnerbaits, chatter baits, etc? LakeForkGuy
