Today I'm bank fishing a a good size pond with clear water and looking for spawning bass. As I am walking around the bank, I start to see bedding bass and spawning bass that are chasing off bluegill. I will show you how to fish for these largemouth bass in this situation and tips for catching these fish while bank fishing. I also talk about one of my favorite bass fishing techniques for when bass are spawning, but are not staying close to the beds. For these cruising largemouth bass, they can't stand a soft plastic senko or other stick bait slowly sinking sinking in front of them. LOOK AT BIG SEXY ROD USED IN THIS VIDEO

I've caught two off of beds this week. It was just before daylight both days and I had my head lamp on shining right on them about 3 feet from me. They never got spooked. The first morning i got a male to take they yum dinger. 3lb. This morning i was able to get a female to take a Krackin Craw. 3. 5lb. My rod and all hanging right over their beds.

Nice vid man you did a good job with pointers and showing technique. The other day I found a bedding bass and he swam up to 3 different baits but didn't bite any. What would u recommend when this happens? Seems I may need to use a crawdad or something that imitates bed predators better?

I can't wait to catch bass again. I am originally from South Africa. Large mouth were introduced in 1928, small mouth 1937 and spotted 1939. The bass are mainly large mouth in SA. Spotted are the leist common. Misindentification?

I didn't learn a single thing from this video. Congrats on catching bed fish, they are quite frustrating. Please dont label you catching fish, as a tutorial though.

Spawning bass should never be fished for. Even if you release the bass it is too late. The nest is eaten in less than 15 seconds.
