Something I have found is with any system that runs batteries in series is that no matter what you do, the first battery in line on the positive lead will take the most abuse. I use a 24 volt system on a set of 16000 pound lifts for buses and use AGM batteries with a minn Kota charger. I had to replace all the first batteries in line twice and the second battery still tested fine. I started switching their location from first to second every 6 months and have had good results in keeping both batteries equal in power and rate of decay. Just a tip for your batteries in the boat as well. I swap the trolling batteries back and forth about every 3 months and they seem to last a good bit longer.

I do not agree to change all batteries. I believe that a different approach should be taken. See most batteries you have them in parallels and that is where the issue lies. If you use an electronic voltage regulator you can have same amount of batteries create more power, be regulated by the voltage regulator and the amp draw will be more even on the batteries because they work as one large battery instead of several batteries at same voltage/amps going through each other in parallel. Anyway, that is my take on that.

yes change them all at the same time. they will all fail in around the same time if you put them in at the same time. My internet Buds get the best battery you can afford. AMP hours equals run time on the water. Get group 31 with at least 180 amp hours.
this will run 2x as long as a cheap deep cycle with only 90, sold at the big wallyworld store.
I want full power the entire day, it is only a percent off the boating costs and is a most used item, you on electric or gas power more.

Always replace all batteries at the same time. They must all be the same battery and the date code should be the same also. When you put mis matched batteries together the lowest voltage, the weakest battery will pull the stronger ones down and cause low amps. This will drastically shorten the batteries lives. They will be in a contast, never ending bloody battle to maintain the same voltage, and die a quick but painfull death. Nobody wants that.

Going to try the Texas rig white tube. I change both trolling batteries at the same time. I find if I don't change them both at the same time the weaker battery will drain faster than the new, causing a voltage drop and a slow trolling motor. Also check for junk being the trolling prop.

Man your videos are highly entertaining. You have a great energy and your time putting these together is appreciated. When I can hit the lake this is a good quick fix to get by lol. On, and A&M sucks. that is all.

I'd say chatter baits are the best search bait. I went on a new lake sat in a spot for 30 min coughs 4 tock bass and a pike. I used black and blue nutech crazy jig black and blue with an electric shad zako trailer

Change both batteries. To make it simple if you put a new battery with a old battery the new battery will try and compensate for the weaker battery. In the end burning up the new and old battery

Yes all batteries should be replaced. with a NiCd battery once you go to low 2 or 3 times you are risking it. It is key to keep the charge up consistently without going to low.
