We were caught in the storm on July 10 2019 at about 8 pm. Going north in boat lane. Just before hwy 154 bridge, we were gapping 4 foot waves. Had to turn north east to trailer park just south of hwy 154 public boat ramp. Ive never been more scared in my life! Boat is needing repair. Cap is starting to separate from hull.

My Ranger's Merc outboard threw a piston out the side of the block (recovered it from the deck, seven miles from the ramp in heavy river waves and big boat traffic! Two hours to the ramp and the batteries were getting weak. Swapped out one of the trolling motor batteries for the cranking battery and just made it!

LFG: Has high end fishing boat with gear.
Also, LFG: Doesn't have at free radar app (or better yet, RadarScope) on his phone which would for sure have showed him the vector the storm was coming in at.

I've been in waves like that with my dad and grandfather. I was paid down on the deck bouncing up and down. Taking some waves from the side while running down the river. No storm but scary situation.

If you make your bunks ahead of time, you can replace them with your boat tied to the courtesy dock using your Dewalt 1/4 Impact, & some hex head lag bolts in 30 minutes. Especially a Jon Boat.

Hardly any white caps! Haha. Thats why I love my tri hull. Lake Erie gets pretty rough. Glad Im not the only one with bad luck!
