This shotgun I got for Christmas is over 70 years old but is a genius design in arms technology! Based off of the Browning A5 shotguns, the Remington model 11 is one of the best shotguns of all time but this one has the original compensator and poly choke system. Can't wait to go dove hunting with this classic shotgun!

Nice shotgun, and thanks for the orange venison idea. Also, I've never thought to try dove before, but we don't have those birds around here, anyway. There's no way I'm literally eating crow, or hunting turkey, which I can buy pretty cheap at the store.

What I do to bleach skulls is put it on a ant hill for a week and the ants will clean it to no tomorrow. Once clean I will put it in a pot of 35 percent peroxide until white. From the peroxide it sits in the sun for a day or 2.

I make a brake for shotguns using the Winchester or Remington changeable internal choke system, and add the choke at the end of the brake. I have not had any problem with wads or shot cups.

That's a nice old gun. Cutts compensater, they were quite popular back in the day. Because of the semi-auto action, I think you will be surprised at the lack of recoil.

Bleach a skull? Find you a tree with a big wide fork. Place skull in fork and wait 6 months. Mama nature does the business on it. And best of all it's free and easy.

I did a European mount by simply burying the head up to the antler base, hair intact, for 6 months. Covered the rack with buckets to keep rodents away. Worked great

i have a model 11 from pre 1912, it's so old that when it was being manufactured, it didn't even have the designation of model 11 yet! got it for 275 2 years ago

Man, LFD is a smart man! The service I was in always had a 870 guy for short stuff. You and your family are why I did what I did. God bless you.

Keep it all natural, buried the skull for a few months(more like 10 months, over fall, winter, and spring in wisconsin) turned out amazing.
