That was a beautiful bass and Id love to catch another one like it! Whereas once upon a time about 45 years ago when I was a young teenager, I was casting for black bass from the banks of a murky slew that winded around and through the campgrounds we were camping in, where I caught a monster weighing 12 lb. 8 ounce black bass that little did I know was the new recorded lake record that got my picture in the local lake area newspaper. It was a thrilling experience trying to land that monster with an old Zebco 33 on a very flexible fiberglass rod that had met its match and then some but of course my bass angling skills kicked in and I managed to literally walk backwards far enough to land that beautiful fish that also got my picture with the fish being the new recorded lake record in the local lake newspaper was icing on the cake that a great deal of fishing and camping friends and neighbors, etc. remembered for years afterwards although, my record was beaten by a few ounces just a month or so later. However, I still hold the bragging rights today many years later!

I was so mad today I had caught 3 largemouth in a creek, then lost my crank bait, and meno to a tree. 5 minutes afterwards a huge bass pops out like nothing just laughing at me.

I always thought you leave spawning bass alone so they can protect eggs or babys? when did it become ok to assist bluegills in destroying a nest by taking mom and dad out.
