Come on LFG dont blame the knot that was all ur fault. u were playing the hand drag game and pulling out line, either u were holding it too tight and not letting it out fast enough or, my guess, ur drag was set too tight to begin with and thats why u were pulling with ur hand in the first place, either way bud, that was all you. although ur right u should ALWAYS re-tie if theres any doubt at all, good video bud

You gotta try beef stroganoff mountain house its arguably one of the best they have. I would also look into mixed propane/ butane gas and a jet boil or a knock off they are much lighter and they are more efficient, plus you can screw that directly to the tank so you dont burn whatever you are setting your burner on love the videos though man just keep on danglin!

Not sure if someone else has said this yet but i will give it a shot. With mountain house meals and MRE meals, you don't need a long spoon. Turn the package sideways, then add the water or cut the pouch open. For some reason all of these packages are rectangular, but they want you to cut them open in the most difficult way.

Great video! I was just curious what was the Garmin device you were using to text with since your phone wasnt working? I usually away from cell service a lot and that would be great to use to keep my wife at ease. Please share some info on that Garmin and how your able to text with it. Thank you.

Went on a canoe trip into the Boundary Waters in No MN in 81 and we ate Mountain House. Only thing that will mess up your plumbing is the 'textured vegetable protein' (read soybean meal. That can cause your system to have some internal adjustment time as it recalibrates. This too will pass.

Those mountain house meals take up a lot of space in a pack, but if you repackage them in ziplock bags or something similar it saves space. Then just right down the info you need for each meal, like amount of water and such.

LFG, always crack your vents a little bit in your tent. It cuts down on condensation from your breath. Also, any details on your battery box? I couldn't find the original video when the viewer sent it in. Thanks!

Makes me miss the days of backpacking. For a good snack that's packable, you can always dehydrate your own potatoes and other veggies. Make them nice and salty so you keep yourself hydrated on the hikes.
