Never do this, but Im going to be one of those pros that comment on peoples YouTube vids letting them know what theyre doing wrong today, I wouldnt start now but after your hunting trip when practicing, start your draw with you elbow straight up in the air, that way when you draw back, you settle into full draw, its a lot harder but when your reach draw and bring your elbow back down, theres a let off and you will be less tense at full draw and this isnt something I just made it, it was a tip given to me by an Elite Archery team pro when I was practicing with him

You need to get a roost in there for them (usually you can take some stick you find thats not rotted about 3-5 inchs wide and put it up and it works. Make sure you add something on top of their coop so that they dont roost ontop of it) and also you should get a net above them so that they dont fly.
With them being in the forest without grass to eat, I would recommend feeding them scraps such as fruit and lettuce and stuff like tomatos so that they can be healthy. Ive seen people hang up cabbage balls and they eat that crud up so ya

For the skunk, you don't want to catch it. Get a old rag, douse it with about 1/2 cup of Ammonia. Lay the rag around hole with a exit and entrance. She will take the babies (if any) an will relocate them. No killing no harm and no foul. If you are worried she will move down the wall and dig in again just spray some down the wall. They hate the smell of ammonia. Make sure you leave an opening for her to get the babies out. She'll leave for another place.

I left message on last fishing video, you need to go on eBay and buy a cheap DVR and cameras to find out what it is. Your wife says its climbing the fence. Sounds like bobcat, or cougar. Neither one do you want around your house hunting with a small child living there. Watch the videos on YouTube of cougars hunting full grown men. I'd carry a gun to the chicken coup, and dispatch the critter.

Get rid of that mini coop within the coop, covert a section into a walk in, covered area for them to roost during any weather and it will be easier for you to reach the eggs. And then put the same wire you have all around it, on the rest of coop so they have protection from there predators. Maybe also pour some cement around the base so outside animals have trouble getting in.

Order some Premier One Poultry Fence with the solar electric charger. Put around the perimeter approximately 10 ft from the coop. If anything tries to get in, they get shocked and if a chicken flies over the coop fence it will be between the coop fence and electric fence and still safe until you put her back in the pen. Good Luck!

Get an outside farm dog, and train it. Like a Cathoula Leopard or that white Belgian Malinois.
You are going to need something to watch out for your growing family while you are away and will grow with your family, talk with OSG and get feedback from other folks doing the country living.

Get you some Under the Trapeez at the Circus type netting, Stand a post up in the center of your Chicken pen and make a Canopy, kinda like a Circus tent. Buddy of mine did this over his chicken run, saw it deflect a Red-tailed hawk one day. Kept the varmints out at night too.

Your desk looks nice. I like the idea of the triangle.
What is so close to your house that it's eating your chickys! I guess your gonna have to put a top on your chickens house.
Congrats on the Chic filet. Does that mean you eat the hell out of it lol!
