Why I had to Switch Trucks Chevy Diesel Issues

I had to get a new truck due to problems with the new Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 3. 0 turbo Duramax diesel not working like it should. Luckily I was able to get back home and my local Chevy dealer helped me out. mikeham73: Ahh, the joys of owning a GM truck. I had a brake line blow while towing my boat two weeks ago. Im currently in the process of putting in stainless fuel and brake lines and undercoating the frame since GM couldnt be bothered to do such things at the factory. Managed to slice my hand on one of those rusty brake lines and had to get a tetanus shot. Loving my Chevy experience. Of the five GM trucks in my family, all have the same problem. Like a Rock? More like a bucket of rust.

I live in Springtown and have the exact same truck, just with the 5. 3 and I've had a ton of issues that the 8 speed transmission and have had two rounds of window leaks. I've been dealing with James Woods Chevrolet in Decatur and I've even had techs ride along with me. They pretend the truck is just fine, and after all the love you're giving to Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine I'm going to go to take it there.

You need to start feeding them oyster shells now just crumble them up and put them on the ground they eat what they want they'll scratch them and eat them and it makes your shells harder gives them a lot better way to make the shells they after you can see their crawl and that's how the shells are made got any questions let me know I raise chickens all my life

lakeforkguy any suggestions or point of contact for truck issues? I bought a 2020 GMC Sierra Denali with carbon pro package and my 6. 2 motor went out at 177 miles. Everyone seems to believe GM should put me in a new truck but seems that GM doesnt believe so. Any help would be great. Thanks

Thank you for this video, I just got a RST with the Duramax, I upgraded from a diesel colorado, for the same awesome mileage but better space and a full sized truck. I was nervous about this truck after seeing the first video. Seeing this made me feel a little better.

That transmission is garbage, my denali effed enough to be embarrassing, but not enough to convince the dealership. GM effing sucks. Also-good luck with catalytic, will fall apart at 15k miles and you. Will rattle. Again enough to drive you nuts.

3k miles on my GMC 3. 0L Duramax. So far so good. I've towed 7k a few hundred miles too without issue, but it does drink the DEF while towing, which is to be expected. I've used one tank of DEF so far with about 600 of 3k miles towing.

They only did that because you could have LEMON LAWED it. In the end, you still got the raw end of the deal. Now you lost some depreciation and the dealer is going to schlep it off on some other unsuspecting customer.

There's no way a dealership would've done that for the average Joe. Glad they did right by you, but I would've gotten laughed out of town if I had tried to get rid of the lemon and get another one.
