In this video we got on a hot snook bite at the Juno Beach pier. We were using croakers for bait and getting lit up every cast. We even managed to catch one on a firstlight flair hawk jig during the day. These snook were spawning and pissed off as they attack each and every croaker we throw at them and as many know croakers are known to feed on snook eggs. If you like the video, Like the damn video and please leave a comment below.

It's a known fact according to research done by Mote Marine Labs and the Snook Foundation, that these large snook are breeder females and they are grouped up under the Juno Pier to spawn. When you catch them and throw them off the pier, the pressure of impact will prematurely cause that snook to release her eggs. A large breeder female can carry up to several thousand eggs. This is the primary reason they close the season, to allow the fish to regenerate the stock. By mishandling them like throwing them off that high pier, you are causing a diminish re-population of the specie. IF you are bent on catching them this way at this time of year, by all means possible, release them carefully using a release sling and ease them down on a rope to swim off freely. By doing this you are doing yourself, you kids and grand kids and others a favor to ensure the population of snook will remain good and plentiful. Thank you from the snook fishing community!

It would be dream to catch huge snook like that. I am in Vero Beach so I have light setups for small reds and snook. I really want to come visit Juno pier in a few months during the summer so i can experience this. Probably need more than 20lb braid tho. Could i please have suggestions on size reels and rods, lb line? Great vid btw

Yall tore em up! But handle them with better care next time. Not good to horse them for 30 seconds, slam them on a 100 degree deck, then throw them from a 20ft pier for them to smack on their side. Those are the baby makers, we need to keep them safe and un harmed as much as we can!

I really hope you guys have educated yourselves since this video! The way you guys flung the snook on the pier and throwing them back in to the water from 20 ft after you horsed them in with 100# test line. way to go buddy! Www. projectsnook. com

Is a spinning rod with a blank rated for 20-50 lb line overkill? I will use it at Juno in the summer, but mainly use it for cobia, small sharks, tarpon, etc. Does the rod weight sound fine for those applications? Thanks

Just picked up a baja special, I'd like to know what main line your using, looks like ande pink in your mullet run juno peir video. Also, it looks like you only fill your spool half way. Could you tell me why, thanks.

How come you guys use such heavy tackle at the pier I'm sure you can stop them with a spinfisher and 50lb braid with a 15-30 lb Rod, Just like you can on a bridge. But hey maybe I'm wrong.

Hey I'm looking into a Juno Bait custom rod for doing this exactly what specs should I get? 8-9' and 50-80 lb class right?
