Hey Victor. I've been to Florida only a couple times last march and just a couple weeks ago. Never sw fished before last year. Rented some equipment and got some frozen bait. Caught a small blacktip and a couple cats! I was instantly hooked. This year I bought a 7 foot medium rod a Sahara reel, bunch of jigs and spoons. Ace hardware in Bonita springs hooked me up! Caught a jack, a whiting, and a trout at Boca Grande, 4 sea robins and a mullet snapper at Naples, and 26 oscars on the Tamiami Trail on the way back to Ft lauderdale airport! That was awesome! Now I'm really hooked! I need another rod and reel for next year looking at a Saragossa or van stall and I like the st crouch avid rod. Would like to try snook. What do you recommend?

That looked like a lot of fun. This years mullet run was pretty good compared to the past few years, loads of mullet I haven't seen in recent times, just wished it lasted a little longer. Congrats to some great catches.

When you say snag rod youre just throwing out a top water and trying to foul hook mullet and or land a bluefish to use as bait? I dont normally surf fish but I wanna try it out during the mullet run
