Straightening Hooks in The Everglades Backcountry

Julian from the Bite the Bait fishing and I did a little exploring in Everglades National park. This was our first time really fishing the backcountry and we had no idea what to expect. It was a learning experience, but we still got an inshore slam of redfish, speckled trout and snook. Julians

Always look at the map to see where you're at but couldn't find Florida Bay? Looking forward to moving to Florida within the next few months. Got my airboat ordered but that's it so I'm going to be pretty much stuck in the shallows. Enjoy the videos, keep em coming!

Another great vid! Last week while out off of Clearwater I took a Flathead Catfish to my hand and endured about 4 hours of excruciating pain. I knew it was toxic as I was reaching for my pliers. it was simply a freak bounce from the fish and a very fast stab into my hand!

I once set the hook so hard that it went through a red eastern scorpionfish's skull, right between the eyes and through the roof of its mouth, its safe to say we couldn't get the hook out no matter how much we tried.

Careful with the bull sharks, they are everywhere. I've had 3-4 going after a redfish and to just lock the drag and throw it in the boat. Couldn't revive it just threw it back in the water or you'd lose a hand.

KastKing braid nests up the same way if you don't soak the crap out of it before using it. Great when wet, horrible when dry. And before you say the weight is too light, I was using 25pound. :(

Nice video. Hoping to get to the outside soon. Just have to make sure you don't get caught on one of those endless flats on an outgoing tide.

Nice Victor! Yeah I had the same problem with Suffix Braid from 4lb even up to 30lb. Not a fan. I usually use the original power pro.
