The Ocean is NOT YOUR Swimming Pool! (Shark Week)

Yes I said it, The Ocean is not your swimming pool, nor should anyone feel entitled to swim in it without the risk of a shark bite or attack, from a great white or any shark. Shark week is here and that means Discovery channels lineup of shows has the public glued to their TV's. Many of these shows and documentaries are largely falsified and are mean to invoke fear and mass hysteria in people, attacking at peoples phobia of Shark attacks. As a saltwater fisherman in South Florida I have been fishing my entire life and have seen the various sides of sharks, as apex predators and killers of the natural world. I have seen them going full cannibal an eat each other and go into feeding frenzies where they attack boats or even buckets. I have caught and released sharks including hammerheads, bulls and tigers, from the beach and offshore while deep sea fishing. This video is meant to educate and inform the public that the ocean is an amazing, yet violent ecosystem, but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying it. After all we are all part of the natural world, that so many have tried to disconnect from. New Landshark Shirts Now AVAILABLE!

I was on my way to Maui as a second time trip with my family and I love water and the ocean. I couldn't wait to get there and go swim in the Ocean! But half way there to Maui I got the most scariest feeling from head to toe. I felt scared and stiff. and I knew without a doubt that there was going to be shark (s) in the waters where we were staying. I wasn't watching a shark movie on the plane either. my feelings of swimming in the Ocean changed. in a blink of an eye. Something was strongly advising me to not go swimming in the Ocean! So when we got to Maui I told my parents that I refused to go in Ocean. there was sharks in there. no way. they said you love the water and to swim. sharks do not come this close to these waters or shores. and they asked someone how likely shark came to shallow waters on that beach. and my parents were told. never has there been Sharks come up toshallow waters at all. never! I still knew without a doubt that there was sharks in the waters near the shore where we were staying! I was not going in for any reason. at all! My feelings from the Angels and God I trusted. and they were very adimit not to go into the waters! The next couple of days on the trip. one morning from our hotel room there was something going on early at the beach. my father decided to go down to the beach and find Out what it was? He came back to tell us that there was 2 big white sharks in the shallow waters down at the beach. they harpooned the two sharks and killed them! I went swimming In the Ocean in the same spot they were in. for the rest of our vacation. happy! I knew they were there. I knew they were there before we even arrived to Maui. ! I've had a lot of situations and experiences just like this one! I'm not lying! I don't have to! It's true. I swear it! I dodged a few sharks I guess. thanks to my Angels and God!

why dont they make videos about how manny people die from car, bike, plane, bus and train accidents and leave the sharks alone. we need to learn to respect sharks and the ocean. when we enter the ocean we must remember the ocean belongs to them not to use the ocean is there Territory. i love the ocean and all the creatures in it. we need to protect all creatures big and small.

Hell yeah man. Hey even tint sharks can be aggressive had a little 3 foot black tip try to chomp on my foot as o was releasing him. I'm not mad at him, I would've done the same thing if I was swimming around and had a hook pierced though my mouth.

When you see a shark attack kill and consume another human being, it will change your life. Like any attack on a fellow man wether it be by Grizzly, Lion or other larger predator, it's not pretty. It's traumatizing to say the least.

I like you, guys, for several reasons.
Having seen this video, I say I respect you. You are far more ripe than your age and if you are not cautious enough, you will be the next Cousteau or Attenborough. You've been warned. ;)

its a pretty strange here on cape cod when you see a great white breach 10 ft into the air with a seal in his mouth 30-40 yds off of a beach packed with tourists swimming, surfing and kayaking tourists. I don't swim in the ocean!

i think you might have over exaggerated the fact that every one watching this has never seen a shark lol. it was probably the rambling that led it to that. though I Love your videos viktor!

Sharks are not the apex Predator of the sea the killer whale is in fact killer whales have killed great whites some pods hunt great whites but sharks are not the Apex predator.

We stopped watching Shark Week a long time ago. Just a bunch of junk they do to create ratings to the point where they have even made up some of the shows.
