Adam from Movin Weight Fishing invited me offshore to look for cobia. We mainly wreck hopped with live baits and caught a variety of species like snapper, cobia, amerjacks and mahi mahi. One of the things we caught is a fish known as a jack crevalle.
Often regarded as a Trash Fish, most people throw them back. I haven eaten smaller jack's, but never a big one. The bigger a jack gets the more red, oily and fishy its fillet becomes!
Serg: This is somewhat of a weird question but since you eat so much fish it would be interesting to see your blood mercury level and if the fish eating have had any significant impact. Date: 2021-03-25
