Im going on my first offshore trip this year. I've got a shimano tyrnos 30, but need a rod. I was told this charter only allows mono and a minimum of 100lb. What power/ action rod or line rating would I need to pick up? And would it be a good idea to bring extra line since i wont be getting much of a 100lb on this reel.

i have sedona 5000xg shame i got bad quality control reel on bail system, hooked a half kg fish the bail just wanted to open it self everytime u retrieve with annoyin sound, inside these reel r really good, just the handle and the bail are weak

I could buy all of that for a few grand. I buy used items. Tight lines to you though. You would be surprised how many people sell things like this. Pawn shops, ect.
