This video was from our trip down to Key Colony Beach in the Florida Keys back in May. I got one more video from our last day as well! We were targeting mutton snapper and managed to get a few beasts and I hooked something that really tested my patience! Most likely a big stingray from the way it fought! Snapper are opportunistic feeders, and this is very apparent after filleting the mutton snapper and finding a crazy looking creature which appeared to be an eel and a calico crab!

Is it just me or are they putting way too much pressure on the fish during the initial fight I feel like thats why hey keep getting broken off too much fight too early on

Whatever yall do never use a 20ft+ leader you wanna fish middle column free line but best to hit bottom and reel up a few feet
