ALL Pufferfish species are known to contain neurotoxins that can potentially be fatal. I don't want to scare anyone, just warn people of the risks. I will post all information I have gathered on the checkered pufferfish below, which is the species we caught and ate in S. Florida. Pufferfish aka toadies are widely know around the world as being poisonous. They can be found almost anywhere nearshore in Florida, but prefer docks, seawalls and mangrove shorelines where they seek shelter. They can literally puff themselves up to make them awkward and hard to consume for bigger predatory fish. They also have a crazy little set of teeth, that should not be ignored as they can draw blood and certainly tear skin open! They are extremely easy to catch and beyond delicious! We show you how to clean and cook these tasty little pufferfish. My buddy James who is a professional chef cooked them up for us and made an amazing fried pufferfish recipe you have to try! Hope you enjoy this catch clean cook!

Just read about the puffer fish on fwc it is in bold print rather if you cook them that sill doesn't stop the toxin from harming u I definitely wouldn't play with my life for views on YouTube but did look tasty

We eat puffers all the time up here in NJ. One of the best fish. That species has very low toxicity of the viscera. I wouldn't eat a plate of puffer livers but there is no danger.

yeah smell is the key with puffer fish scraps and not if any eat the left overs in australia its just too dangerous to eat them but great vid for those who eat them?

Puffers are not that tasty. There are tastier and Much safer fishes that you can eat. Every now and then you hear people hospitalised/died from eating puffers.
