Wahoo in Guam! Catch Clean Cook SHUT UP and FISH Jerry: Great video. Have you ever cut a large Wahoo tail off just behind the anus? I normally fish the Pacific waters off Repub/ de Panama. My first Wahoo was approx. 85-90 pounds and I was asked to decide what part I wanted, so I selected the back third, just behind the anus. To my surprise, when I looked at the cross-section was NOT a solid piece of muscle, instead, it was four perfectly round muscle s and NO bone, just cartilage. SO I took my fish and went to the local meat cutter that also did fish and cut the tail in 1-1/2 inch slices and got four 1-1/2 inch steaks per slice/cut. Now I found this to be true for all Wahoo over 25 punds, the smallest fish I've caught. I'd be happy to send along a photo, don't know how to attach to this Comment.

I wish I was into fishing when I was stationed in Guam in the 80's. This brought back some great memories when you went by the northern to of the island. I use to look out into the ocean from those cliffs when I was on patrol at Andersen AFB

I love it. teach'em young. That's a little man to be proud of. My friend John is from Guam and he told me about the coconut crabs and the spearfishing there is supposed to be amazing.
