Camping & Fishing an Uninhabited Coast in Panama - Jungle Survival (Part 2)

In Part 2, we're still camping & fishing way off the grid in jaguar country on the remote southern coast of Panama where the jungle meets the Pacific. The fishing offshore is on fire, and I catch the prize I've been looking for. Then we harvest fresh produce from the trees near camp and freshwater prawns in the nearby river after dark. Before we head home, we cook up a seafood feast and do a little fishing and shellfish-gathering on the rocky shore. This is the ultimate survival camping experience!

Jeezus, I totally agree with you. I love catching 20 lb salmon with my new rod and Peetz Reel. The line Screams, and my biking gloves get hot hot hot from trying to put the brakes on the reel. Like you, The only meat that I ever eat is my own caught fish. Pour moi - Chinook salmon, Coho salmon, Halibut, and Dungeness Crab. Cheers from Victoria, BC. Your little shrimp are really Crawdads = crayfish.

You re doing a great job with all your videos. Fruta pan or Fruta de Pan. There are two types. The solid one you can fix any way you want just like a potato. Cut up like French Fries, boiled and mashed add a bit of butter or used cooking oil.
The other type is like a chestnut. You have to boil the seeds with salt until fairly soft. Peel outer shell, enjoy!

Enjoying the video Robert, thanks for the content. I haven't casted a line in about a month. Fun fact, I'm watching from a small island in the Caribbean called Grenada and Breadfruit is actually one of the main ingredients in our national dish called Oil Down. Keep it up man.

There is a place for commercial fishing as many can't catch there own that said there are some countries that don't play the game and rape everything out of the ocean and I would be more than happy to see that shit stop.

In Grenada (Caribbean) we call those Bread Nuts and prepared same way. we also have a Breadfruit which, ironically, also is not sweet but more starchy lol all good stuff.

Ever consider smacking the fish in the head hard enough to knock it out or kill it before you rips it's lungs out? Pretty sure they feel pain yeah?

I used to do the same kind of shrimping in Hawaii as a boy. Same with harvesting the opihi (limpets. I miss those hanabata days.

- I love fishing videos. I know you don't do too many catch and or actually cook or show it but I'd love to see more of that.
