In the fourth and final episode, we're still behind schedule. Day 7 begins with our final major portage, but our worst fear is realized when our portaging system suffers a serious setback. Then I make a critical mistake that costs us precious time, and we realize we aren't going to be leaving the Adirondacks on schedule

Just watched this for the third or fourth time. I think this is my favorite series just because I can relate to the physical exertion from some backpacking trips Ive taken out west. I learned to embrace the suck and after a while I honestly miss it. Ill have to give something like this a try next, good job on a great series!

this was a fantastic series of videos to watch.
I watched the second of the series with my 5 year old boy and he couldn't take his eyes away.
thanks for filming what looked like an unreal adventure!
Simply awesome.
out of curiosity, what rod and reel setups did you bring and what kind of craws were you using?

Bad Ass trip! You def. carried too much gear. When you decide to put a Yeti 75 in your canoe with multiple portages you are in trouble. Yall definitely toughed it out. I enjoyed watching. I am floating the Pecos in April. Cant wait!

Great video Rob I was wondering what knife do you have on your pfd? I am wanting to get into kayak and canoe fishing and all the spots near me are full of old line and I want to have a way to cut the line if I ever get caught in it

this adventure was EPIC! Thank you for sharing! I love taking the train through the Adirondack Mountains up into Montreal, QC from Penn Station, NY! it is soooo beautiful the parts you see along Lac Champlain!

Great video, I LOL watching it. This will be my 3rd year in a row thru-paddling the whole 740 mile NFCT. After watching your video, I'm considering the extra weight of some fishing gear.

The toilet, lol. that's exactly what I remember from a few hunting adventures in the Adirondacks when in my twenties. I know the cold of that region (grew up in Syracuse.
