In Part 2 of this series, I'm hiking out alone to fish and explore the wild rivers of southern Chile, and the bite is on fire! After catching a bunch of trout, I'm hiking to a remote stretch of river to try and catch a MONSTER Chinook salmon from land. Then, we're cooking up our catch. On all my lures with trebles, I replace them with Owner or Gamakatsu Siwash. Sometimes with a dropper (usually tail hook on plug-type lures. Trebles I just refer to as troubles, they hook fish easier but lose them easier too (more leverage for the fish. so it's a solid trade-off. And I don't have to worry about wrecking fish I don't intend to keep, or said fish wrecking me with the damn trouble hooks.
Edit: For salmon/trout/steelhead, if you sting a big fish and don't hook up, just sit down and wait 10-15 minutes. they tend to forget quickly. If you hook up and lose it, good chance they move or sulk for a long time.

In chile allways cast to the shadow places, clear, milk, dark, deep, shalow waters for Big trout, in the morning 5am or 19pm You Will find the bigs up the corrent beetwin that time in the tail of the rapids but need a lure very crazy swing to shake them up.

What a great video
You show that there’s more to Fishing than just casting out a line.
You show the adventure of exploring the area, with the struggles that come along the way, rather than just the glamour footage

What perfect timing, stuck inside, sick, but atleast I can watch some Field Trips and sip some soup. I hope you already planned a few trips back man! Patagonia has always been an awesome place in my head.

I love how you seamlessly go from perfect Spanish to fittin’ to find out Love the videos, but you got to convince Jordan to figure out a way to get some kayak fishing for kings down there!

Chilean Patagonia is unique and captivating. You can fish all day and not encounter any other fishermen. My friend, the only thing missing is fly fishing. Best regards.

Drone shot at 16: 15 captured a bird diving into the river to do a little fishing of their own! Beautiful country! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Man that’s some beautiful scenery! And I like watching you fish solo. More relaxing than when you’re whooping it up with clients in Panama

Are you going to target any native Patagonia fish while you’re there That’s not really something I’ve seen a whole lot of.
