Introducing the new Big Rig HDFD pedal drive fishing kayak from Jackson Kayak. This is the largest boat in Jackson's pedal drive line, and it's going to be perfect for bigger individuals or those bringing a lot of gear. With a super high weight capacity and unmatched stability, this boat should make for a super comfortable day on the water. Jameson Redding from JK Media House gives us the full bow-to-stern rundown of this new boat. Length: 13' 3 Width: 40 Weight: 110 lbs (approx) MSRP: 1, 999 (paddle version) MSRP: 3, 299 (pedal drive version) Learn more at Download the FREE Fishbrain app: Comment in the app that you watch my YouTube & I'll

I am not sure why anyone would buy this thing? You don't need such a huge kayak for inshore fishing and you need to carry 2-3 people crew with you to drag this thing through the beach and also find a beach that allows a trailer parking. I am not sure why kayak companies do not want to focus on weight, portability and stability at the same time? Those rod holders on the side take lots of space and reels are too close to salt water there.
Again, for the shallow water you want a light kayak, if you hit the sand or oyster bars or get trapped into low tide, you can just drag your kayak through the shallow. The price over 3000 is a joke for this kayak in my opinion. If I wanted something stable, huge and slow, I would buy PA 14 for the same price.

Hey Robert what would be the beat kayak for my needs?
-Capable to go through class 3 Rapids
-Sit on top for occasional fishing
-ideal for multiple day river camping trips
Your devils river vid is making me lean towards a wilderness systems radar 115, do you think thatd be a good option?

I really don't understand why they would put a price tag on this so high I know hobie holds up but kayak companies should compete with pricing weight and be portable I'm sorry but how much is it for the non pedal drive. I just want a kayak that's affordable come on Jackson

Like this Kayak, was wondering if you seen or know about converting this or other kayaks for fishing into Trimaran (with two side floats from seat to end?
Fresh water fishing would make it more stable and safer in open waters?

hobie pro angler 14 is 120. 5 pounds the big native titan is 154 pounds. not sure why everybody seems to think this is anything out of the ordinary fir this type of kayak if anything its on the lighter side of big boats

Thanks for the video. Interesting how small the rear tank well is on such as big kayak. It's more narrow than the seat. Also the rear hatch isn't really accessable while on the water. Why have it if you can't get to it?

I'm really curious to hear how people are liking these flex drive boats. Seems steep on the price, but if they work well in shallow water that is a huge bonus. Anyone have some real world feedback on this system?

Hey Rob, have been through IN yet? If not I would love to be a local guide for NE IN (Fort Wayne. There are five major rivers, multiple creeks, and hundreds of lakes.

Thats almost the same price as a Hobie PA 14 which in my opinion is way better. It has way larger storage front hatch and can hold 6 rods

Those tube rod holders are awesome. That fold up flex drive is a great idea. The price point is a bit high for my blood.
