Who wants a 3070 with a bandwidth of 256 bit for vram that isn't fast to begin with, Nvidia has kept the xx70 series at this lower bus speed for ages! compared to what AMD is offering with the 6800 the 3070 has a mere 1/3 th of the memory speed that the 6800 has. Nvidia is failing big time as far as i'm concered, not only with the 3070 hardware, but also with their partners, with the huge hype and stock issues, but also keeping Nvidia customers like myself. I'm going full AMD this time. I like how the 5000 series cpus and 6000 series gpus work together to gain extra power

12watts of fan is not a lot. 12watts x3 fans is 36 watts which means a little more than %10 of its power goes to its cooling. think in my head for a sec as a mechanic. race cars that dont run water pumps and alternators tend to run about %30 better due to not having to turn a pump and alternator. a 100 HP car will have about 120-130 hp without a belt assembly. little less true with bigger engines but they dont run as long. allocating only %10 for a cooling solution is not a big hit to its power loss that can be used by the GPU.

As always Colorfull have some troubles, I have bought 3 cards form this manufacturer all have some small problems (strange noise form card, blue screens, and even artifacts with no reason) but they worked a lot until they were replaced ( 3-6 years of every day use from 3 up to 14 hours at day ).
It is only my experience, and may be , I have bad luck with this cards.

The Colorful card is going for 4699 RMB in China right now, so around 700 USD, which is actually cheaper than what the Strix is going for by quite a bit, with prices over 5000 RMB. These prices should be inflated due to scalping as far as I can tell. Colorful tend to have higher end SKUs like Vulcan, Neptune (AIO), but their site don't list it for the 3070 yet.

what i REALLY want to see on these new 30XX cards is the OC Scanner, the tool that was released w/ MSI AB when the 2000 series came out, i really want to see how it compares to a manual overclock as its alot more granular on the curve and in my experience (1070) has resulted in more stable overclocks while actually staying below stock TDP (slider at 75%)

Dude why are u even talking about 3070s still. Who's gonna take your advise on overclocking these cards, no one has them besides reviewers.
Theres literally no point in trying to sell these cards to viewers. My point is no one cares about the baseline for the strix right now.

Could you make a video about if 2 differents cpus with the same cores/threads/cache and the same boost clock but with different base clocks makes any difference for gaming. In other way does a lower base clock but same boost clock affects the performance?

Oh joy another Reviewer rubbing our face how many 3000 series they have. Maybe I should be a shill for nvidia And I might have a chance of getting a 3080.......... I honestly believe that reviewers got 50% of the total stock of 3000 series graphics cards.

The more expensive 3070 models have more overclocking headroom than 3080 and 3090 models, but there's no point in buying an expensive 3070 since you can get a lot more performance by buying a cheap 3080 instead.

Hey GN, I got a Gigabyte 3070 Eagle non OC edition card. I managed to boost the card from 1725 MHZ to 2010 MHz. is that considered good? I've never had a Nvidia card before so I am not sure.
