HW News - RIP New RTX Models, AMD Supercomputer, Intel Selling Off NAND Business

This week, we've confirmed cancellation (for now, at least) of some NVIDIA RTX GPUs, the arrival of more AMD-powered supercomputers, Intel's sell-off of its NAND business, and more. oiSnowy: Funny. AMD and nVidia start looking at getting storage closer to the processing, Intel looks to come into the real graphics scene... could have had some way in jumping ahead, but no.
Probably some idiot bean counters who don't think NAND's shjexy enough for profits.

You know, I actually liked the AMD bike. We all know that AMD has some inner compulsion to screw up its product launches regardless of how good the product is.
My thinking is that Lisa Su realised this and deliberately released the AMD bike to allow the company to get its screw up tendency out of the way before the big product releases. If correct this would mean that Zen 3 and RDNA2 launches won't be terrible. I say that is a win.

I mean, just release the game when it's done, it's not like the world's going to end in the meantime. I'd rather wait to play a game rather than encounter some sort of game breaking bug or something.
The money's going to be their no matter what. People will still buy and play the game if you release it a month or two later. It's not a Fing race after all.

Imagine NVidia couldn't deliver their newest highend gfx card and AMX got to the market first and had even better hardware ...
I hate NVidia since they killed 3dfx with shady marketing practises. It seems like justice has finally caught up and I wish that AMD will just stomp NVidia with their RNDA 2 hardware. Looking forward to buying a 6800 XT. :)

I truly believe CyberPunk is going to be good, but not mind blowing.
It's effectively going to be a futuristic GTA, and it's had way too much hype. I'll be picking it up a couple of years for five bucks on sale.
Plus GoG totally screwed me on a new game, 30 bucks refused to refund after a few hours play. Used to love them too.

I kinda hate how the street price for the NVIDIA cards is now on pretty much the same level as the 2000 series, since the more affordable FE models are pretty much instantely sould out. I really, really hope that against all odds, AMD will have more of the cards, that are below ACTUALLY 800 .

GN HW News has to be the only Weekly recap that dances between publishing days. Not a complaint, I know the coverage takes a lot of work so HW News get's pushed. Thanks guys.
Also, the WORST miss of Cyberepunk 2077 is the Xbox One X with Cyberpunk branding, surely.

Funny enough nvidia planned this 3070 delay because they thought AMD couldn't compete like the previous years, but ironically there are 3070 in stock that won't sell right now as people are waiting for Radeon's to permeate the market before making the decision

By backing open source browser development (Chromium) and cloud based productivity applications, Google sidestepped the barrier to entry setup by Microsoft and basically saved the world- this was funded entirely by ads. Please DOJ, leave our savior alone!

I bet we get a 3080 ti and 3070 ti with + 20% performance and they keep with 3090 non ti for memory uses not gaming. Then you ll have what we ve always had. A huge card, a fast card and an almost as fast card. Prospectively.
