I ve ordered the 360 version from Arctic directly on December 22nd, and after 2 weeks I received it but the Rev.3 mounting kit doesn t fit on my Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero. This is a known issue for some AM4 motherboards, and Arctic s manual states that you can contact them to get compatible standoff screws free of charge. Great, so I opened a service ticket. It took them a while to reply, but they shipped it on January 18th. And it has been stuck at customs ever since I contacted Arctic again, but no reply.
I was really excited to build a new PC last year. But to be honest it hasn't been as much fun as I hoped. It all started with a Strix 3080 which I ordered on launch day (September 17th), which I'm still waiting for. Then a 5900X on launch day, (November 5th), which I received a couple of weeks back. And tuesday I watched your HW News video about Corsair's Notice on Some HX1200 PSUs. I actually have one of those... So I've opened a service ticket for that as well.
I wonder how much longer it will take to complete this build :(

G'day Steve,
Awesome super detailed review as always, the AMD offset mount is very interesting & I didn't think it would have such a large impact,
I was wondering if there are more lower priced AIOs in line for testing, here in Australia the Arctic Liquid Freezer Range isn't available & Asetek based coolers start at 180AUD for a 240mm,
it would be good to see how some others perform as they are quite a bit cheaper for a 240mm or similarly priced for a 360mm like the...
Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB V2 99AUD,
Cougar Aqua 240 RGB 105AUD/280 149AUD/360 169AUD,
Deepcool Gammaxx L240 V2 RGB 109AUD/360 149AUD,
SilverStone PF240-ARGB 129/360 159
as a comparison to Asetek...
EVGA CLC 240 179AUD/280 219AUD/360 239AUD
Fractal Design Celsius S24 Blackout 179/360 249AUD
NZXT Kraken X53 240 219AUD/ X73 360 299

11:11 What about growing 4 hands insted of 3? I just noticed on a pressure image what I see is the screw tightening pattern. The one screw what you tightening is always has greater pressure than the others, this thing change when the last srew is tightened and the ratcheted torque screwdriver snaps, the last screw has less pressure then the other 3.
Have you tried your super pressure paper in a vise or using a single clamp insted of screws?
Does the pressure paper need time to show the difference or it is instant? If I hit with a hammer is it done or I need to hold the hammer in place for a while?

My Asus Tuf x570 Plus had clearance issue with the Liquid freezer ii 360. I sent an email to Arctic on 17th January to send me the rev.2 mounting screw kit. They have replied on the 1st of February saying: Then you have to omit the AM4 mouting clips and switch to
Rec.2 version for mounting .
You will receive the screws with proof of invoice and address.
Many greetings
Service
I still haven't received anything so I had to buy screws and cut it to length. I'm not happy about it. The performance of the cooler is very impressive though.

I have the Arctic Liquid freezer II 240 mm on a ryzen 5900x and boy...it can't keep it cool. in cinebench r23 in rumps up to 85 oC when the processor starts to throttle ( 3,99-4,01 ghz). On idle it stays between 42 oC best case and 50 oC.Does anyone have the same configuration as me? I wanna know if I change the fans on the cooler with higher rpm ones ( from arctic) , if the temps will drop under 80 oC. I know the noise will increase but for loads that need it I don't have a problem. Thx!

I'll be really interested in the AMD wraith series' testing. Switched from a wraith spire to prism on an 1800x, and I feel like the spire soaked heat more (load seems to induce higher Tdie quicker on the spire), and the airflow also seems worse, where it's pushing air out two sides, compared to out all sides with the spire. It does reach cooler temperatures overall, and lower noise (although I think my spire fan is just bad)

So I had a kit that contained the wrong screws. I didn't see any substantial visual difference between them and a M3x5 screw yet while my M3x5 screws went in without an issue the provided screws failed to go in all the way and I also had trouble unscrewing them.
P.S. Unfortunately the offset mount doesn't work with the motherboard I got, the B550 Aorus Pro. There is a raised M.2 mount above the gpu that prevents it.

I tried to get my hands on one those rev 3 Models of the 360 version and got two of them. Unfortuately it seems to be impossible to use the offset Mounting Holes on an aorus board (or at least on the two i have tried: b550M aorus Pro, x570 Aorus Pro)because it interferes with the m.2 cooler. This bugs me a little (although they adressed it) but overall the performance is great. Best AIO for the price. Nice one, Arctic!

Every piece of hardware has RGB these days, even if i dont want it, i do not have a choice. For example the MSI B550 Tomahawk shown in this review has RGB at its chipset. So i dont need RGB at my cooling solution as well. If you want to sync all the RGBs you will have to install all the ARGB cables to the mainboard which looks hideous anyways.

I bought the last 280 they had on amazon.de last month, arctic proactively contacted me through their amazon account to advise me of the screw /bracket etc issue. Sent me, the screws, mounts and a different neck plate.
Would be nice to see more companies take this approach rather than playing dumb cough nzxt
+10 cool points for Arctic
