NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU Review & Benchmarks: Aaand It's Gone

This is a review of the EVGA RTX 3060 XC Blaaand it's gone. It's all gone. The RTX 3060 XC Black benchmark tests gaming performance vs. RTX 3060 Ti, 2060, 960, & more. FROM NVIDIA: The embargo time and date for RTX 3060 reviews is Thursday, February 25th at 6:00 a.m. Pacific. Globally, RTX 3060 will be available three hours later at 9:00 a.m. Pacific, with pricing starting at 329 The NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU comes out today, and we're reviewing it with the EVGA RTX 3060 XC Black. Testing includes basically every modern card, but we primarily compare the RTX 3060 vs. the RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6800 & 5700 XT, RTX 2060, RTX 2060 Super, GTX 960, and GTX 1080 / 10-series cards. The RTX 3060 is a little bit disillusioning to review, if we're honest, and that's because we're all well aware at this point of the impossibility of meeting demand with any silicon product at launch. This isn't just NVIDIA: It's everyone, and not even just other PC part makers. Regardless, we'll review it from two perspectives: In the first, we're talking about today, and that means keeping perspective of availability and pricing. In the second, we're talking about the future -- hopefully helping someone at a time when cards are more readily available. Benchmarks for the RTX 3060 include power consumption, gaming (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077), thermals, and fan speed, alongside RTX game benchmarks for ray tracing.

The card is a joke. Its basically equal to a RTX 2060 Super but is going for the price of a not in stock RTX 3060Ti. Nvidia is milking it all the way. Seems like it doesn't matter how expensive the cards get the people will just keep buying it adding fuel to the fire. MSRP is but a distant thought and a figment of people's imagination, giving credence to, Nvidia the way you're meant to be played. Jensen knows the time is right for the picking and to bolster his revenue like never before, he is an opportunist and you cant blame him, we in a mining boom and he is using every opportunity to make as much money as possible. It will look great on his next earnings call meetings and can show off to investors and it will bolster his stock, only he wins in the end. Well played Jensen, you cant fault him for being a heck of a business man. In his shoes, anyone smart enough would do the same.

I was able to get in cue for a 3060 TI MSI, and in the meantime, I managed to buy a Chilli3D 3060TI. When I got the MSI card, I put the Chilli3D on sale and decided to just ask what I had payed (usually that is pretty good for an occasion). I sold it for 500 and after I sold it I found out I had payed only 500 for the MSI and 550 for the Chilli3D, so I actually sold the Chilli3D card at a loss (while others ask like 700). That was a bummer!

Tech reviews and the tech world in general that I love is losing my interest.... not your fault, love your videos to death man you really do a solid job but with all the stock issues, its like watching reviews for fighter jets, nice n all but not something realistic or accessible.

Lol at the 970 pulling 40fps in RDR2 1080p/high. That's still fine, in my opinion! I want to upgrade, but I still don't /need/ to upgrade. As someone building gaming PCs since 1993, I find this hilarious and also kinda concerning.

Fresh news! Newegg is doing a shuffle thing. They are doing a lottery for who gets to buy a 3060. I was hitting refresh for like 20 minutes before finding this out. I just want to upgrade from my second hand 980ti.

It is 970USD where I live and in stock.
Needless to say I am not interested. In fact I feel tempted to sell my 1070ti and just stick with the UHD 630 iGPU. After all, there are no games I want to play in 2021.

Worthless card. Dead product in my books. I'd rather keep my STRIX 1070 Ti OC Advanced Binned that I paid 240 about 3 years ago. It performs very similarly looking at the benchmarks. Thanks for the coverage Steve.

With a lot of the AIB cards nearing 400 USD, this card is not even a good deal even if you can get it at MSRP.
A 3060ti is absolutely blowing the doors off of it for like 75 more.

They manage to troll the scalpers by making a card so pathetic that no one would even want to buy from a scalper, let alone pay msrp for it. I guess my gtx1080 is still good enough.

They make this so scalpers so they could buy it and try resell it, but since this gpu is bad they won't resell it. Maybe it will teach them a lesson. (this is a joke)
