I couldn't even finish the video. I can sympathize with coolermaster about the price. But I can't forgive the 200mm fans being mounted over 120mm holes. Most of of the airflow of a fan is generated at the outer edges of a fan blade. And in spots, more than HALF the blade is blocked by the case. Only the top of the bottom fan, and the bottom of the top fan is able to utilize the full fan blade. That's totally unforgivable in my opinion. If they shipped it with 2 or 3 120mm fans, instead of two 200mm fans, I wouldn't have as much of a problem. But this means to properly use the the front intake, you now need to go buy a couple 120mm fans, and figure out what the hell to do with those two 200mm fans. If you put a radiator at the top, you won't use the 200mm fans, because they don't have the pressure to push air through the RAD. So they just end up being a total waste of money. It's so egregious to me, I'd rather them just not ship it with the front fans at all, and drop the price a bit.
Hell, I'm still using a HAF 932 case. Been using it for more than a decade. The side panel fans are a godsend for GPU's. I'd rather have companies go back to having fan mounting on the side pane, vs awful fan mounting at the front of the case. It might not be as pretty as an entire glass side panel, but every device will get all the airflow it could want, including VRMs.

Cooler Master back in the past had some epic great Case's. Now there throwing out cases that feel cheap, using the same tools to make the cases and high pricing. You think by now that they can make 3 cases that are the best and that's it. Make a Big ATX, med ATX and micro ATX not every 2 years they come up with a case that looks cool and place RGB on it. Next there going to make a case that the hole case will turn into RGB, lol. Way did they place 2 big fans when the fans is being blocked by the case shutting 30% of the wind getting into the case, lol. This case cost 30 in my mind.

Just to chime in with the cost of shipping, I'm an internal developer for a freight company, and during a financial meeting for our department, like 2 weeks ago, we were shown the numbers for 2021, and we have seen prices rise insanely in the last 2 years, a 40 foot container used to be like, 1'200USD to ship, but during Corona, it rose all the way up to like 22'000USD when it peaked (for us at least), so I understand that it can hurt a LOT to send big boxes like this, so I could very much believe your contact, that each case costs them about 50USD to ship.

I am running my system inside an HAF 500, but a pretty old one. It's huge, and that's great. With whats in there now, I can still fit 2 huge graphics cards, and 8 to 10 raspberry pi thingies, as additional compute units (Easy here on Linux), an SSD each, an additional (smaller) power supply for them, and then some in there. I could make it capable of more serious graphics rendering, CGI, fractal generation... IOW do some serious geeking out, and keep it all in one box! (

My picks:
-Lian Li Dynamic series
-Be Quiet 802
-Fractal Torrent
-Silverstone GD09 (HTPC)
I own the 802, Dynamic XL and GD09, I couldn't get my hands on a Torrent due to the recall so I bought the 802 for my next build on sale for 209 reduced from 269. I've never liked Coolermaster cases, coolers, fans, I've never liked Coolermaster full stop. I bought the XL and 802 based on your review and they did not disappoint, thanks for the video GN team.

You mentioned that you import your products, but where do you import your products from? Why do you not support manufacturers in America? obviously because of cost, but the more business comes back to here, the cost will come down because the economy will sort of balance out. Just asking and not to put you on the spot, just a big fan of made in America. Thanks an d keep up the great work you all do.

Didn't fully understand the 2 x 100mm fans not being PWM, are they PWM in the previous models? And overall would it not just be better to control the fans in software using something like Argus Monitor rather than via motherboard BIOS? Or do they need to be PWM to support software control as well? I have a H500 with stock fans but I don't recall right now if the rear CPU fan is PWM...

Back in mid-November 2021, I purchased the regular Cooler Master MasterCase H500 ARGB from Amazon Canada for CDN 110.
Now I just checked on Amazon Canada, the very same case is CDN 165.
Although I love the case, holy crap is that a price difference.
Thanks Trudeau-flation!

Moral of the story: Steve There are better products that are cheaper. Con-Master has gone to CRAP. The last product I bought from them was a HAF-912 and it was great, nothing since then have they mead that equals value. I will be buying a Fractal or Be Quiet this time.
