I think I had an MSI motherboard of similar size something like 15 years ago. I think it might have been for AMD Athlon XP CPUs, I had a 3000+ at one point. I remember the size of the motherboard because it only had those same six holes for screws for mounting it into a case, and the board came with a couple of small cylindrical/conical hard rubber pieces with the wider end covered in 3M adhesive, and you'd install these on the back side of the board so that the rubber thing would sit between the board and your case. They were meant to support the board since there is quite a bit of overhang from those last screw holes, and if you press in memory modules or the ATX power connector without the rubber pieces installed, the board would flex a lot and could have probably even broken something. I think I might still actually have that board sitting inside a case at my parents' house. I need to go check it out some day.

I love strange hardware from China. I remember when Linus Tech Tips bought a LAPTOP CPU soldered to a proper PGA PCB to be used as a desktop chip. And surprisingly it actually worked! PCI-E label is clearly wrong on that board as Sandy Bridge was PCI-E gen 2, not 3. I wonder how they get their hands on the AMI Aptio SDK to make a BIOS for this thing. Using leaked code from Jetway? I don't think AMI would ever sell their SDK to unknown Chinese vendors. 9: 46 Sandy Bridge boards can be easily BIOS-modded to boot from NVME. I actually have an old P67 which I've modded to boot from NVME using a cheap NVME to PCI-E x4 adapter.

I actually bought one of these last January for a computer upgrade. It was the choice between a 4770k and a E5 2690 really and the board I had for the 4770k had no cooling on the VRM's so I went with the 2690. I do kind of regret it though somewhat. The 8 cores are great for games like Battlefield V (100+ FPS at all times) but when you play Lazydox games built with dual and triple core CPU's 6GHz in mind you really feel the slow single core speed. I was also dumb and ended up buying one off eBay for 105 instead off Aliexpress for 70. Got the 2690 for 70 though so that was a decent deal.

I had an old AMD APU and didn't have the money to upgrade, because that board supported only DDR3, and buying a more recent board meant buying CPU and DDR4 Ram sticks as well. I bought a combo of one of those PLEXHD boards with 32 GB of server ram and a Xeon and I'm really satisfied. Less than 200 bucks and from what I've seen so far I'm pretty sure it will run for at least a couple of years, maybe even more. So if you are in a tight budget an want a little upgrade this could work. If mine survives more than two years I'll definitely keep buying their products in the future.

Hello, GN! These old CPU, s and motherboards very popular in Russia. Mostly because of their prices. There are a lot of comparisons with AMD Ryzen 1st gen on Russian YouTube. For example old Xeon 2689(8 cores 16 threads) CPU works on stable 3300 GHz frequency for all cores and 3600 turbo boost for 1 core. It's like Ryzen 1700. But it's three times cheaper and it doesn't need fast memory like AMD CPU. Also it has good amount of cache memory 20mb. If you interested in this theme I can help you with translation. My English is not so good, but I think it's enough for general understanding.

Given how cheap old xeon CPUs and ECC DDR3 ram is. For what these motherboards can do its pretty good really. You could chuck an old 8core, 32gb ram etc in one of these boards and have a much more powerful PC than going low end i3 or celeron etc. Especially in places like china and that where they dont care so much about power usage and things like that. I myself actually use a bunch of old 2011 CPUs for my home servers. However i bought proper new old stock server motherboards off amazon from Supermicro.

I bought a Hunanzhi x79 board on the higher end at 95. I had 64GB of free memory and E5-2667 v2 which I got free from work. hard not to say no. My only gripe so far was that the MS drivers that are used for the Via USB 3. 0 ports do not work. Windows will sound that a device is inserted but the us b thumb drive will never show up. I had to download the Via drivers which are outdated directly from Hunanzhi and everything is working. Only time will tell if this MB will last

what's amazing to me is that this Motherboard has a POST code display, something that. i'm actually not sure if anyone but EVGA actually puts on their damn Motherboards, even 300+ ones. this should be a standard feature, yet almost nobody does it. it's ridiculous that Brand name is getting dunked on with this type of basic feature. hey Brand name, stop putting 52498678927536 LED's onto the Motherboard and give me basic features like POST code displays.

One thing all motherboard are made in china so in Europe wi buy just a name asus. Gigabyte. ect. ect the motherboard that you have there mybe in Europe calld asus or ect ect. But in china its motherboard they cant put a big name. Thats why in my opinion the best product are in china. what we have here its jus name and name and name. And one other thing you talk to much keep it short and nice than to much bla bla saying same thing in other word
