Lian Li has revamped its Lancool II case with a mesh front and sides. They also had the Unifan, O11 Dynamic Mini, and Lancool 315 at #CES2020. Sponsor: Gigabyte X299X Designare 10G (Amazon We ve been talking with Lian Li behind the scenes about airflow improvements that are possible for the Lancool II, and the mesh version will soon be making more modifications to include a honeycomb design and open-up the cooling capabilities in the top and rear. Additional changes are coming to the PSU shroud-mounted fan slots, discussed in this video. Aside from the Lancool II Mesh, we also had a chance to cover the Unifan daisy-chained fans, Lancool 315, and O11 Dynamic Mini, which configures into micro-ATX, mini-ITX, and full ATX.

They kinda missed an opportunity with the 0-11 mini. Feels like they tried to make it a jack of all trades case instead of focusing on what people want from a small case. making it atx(and itx) compatible was a mistake, they should have just left it matx, shrunk it down, and made it ATX power supply compatible. ATX users already have the 0-11d which is already a small-ish case, nobody should be using an itx mobo in a case this big, there's just no point. Matx would fit in their lineup perfectly. Also nobody is going to stick 3 rads on a large itx system in the first place so the extra radiator room is a moot point. Likewise who is going to build a high end atx system with an SFX PSU? That limits so many of the options for power supplies to pretty much only the corsair sf750 which is really expensive and you'll probably need custom cables for it which is even more money (the stock cables are really short. When it clearly appears they had the room to make it ATX PSU friendly. In holding out to see if they make changes to it on final launch, but just based on these initial videos I think they missed the mark with this case which is really a shame. Also side note that screen looks terrible and needs to be removed.

I generally get my cases from Cooler Master as I really liked all the cases from them I previously owned. (Good Quality/Performance/aesthetics) I think I would have easily considered the Lancool II Mesh as a replacement from my previous case as it seems that it would have ticked all the boxes. Seems that Airflow shouldn't be an issue and I like the mesh on the side (Pending review from Steve of course. However, it doesn't include a Cat rest at the top like my MC500P which allow some sort of airflow from my radiator fans at the top when my cat decides to warm up on case. (And yes, this is now one of the requirement for me when looking at a new case for my gaming rig: ) I'm glad they are gong to commercialise those fans. I'll definitely keep an eye on them as cable management is such a pain when you decide to get some sort of RGB.

10: 30 The removable tray for me is very exciting. He says is it useful for the buyer? Probably not. Bro, you have no idea how frequently I tear apart my system. Seems like at least once per month I am opening it up to install something, remove something, or just to clean it, or reapply thermal paste, or any number of other things I might need to do. That's why my system still runs like brand freakin new after 7+ years. The only thing that isn't still like new is the screw holes in the back and the rails that the side panels mount on. Those have taken a lot of wear and tear. I need a new case and that one gives me a boner.

Steve no offence but please learn to say Designare it is like Des-ig-nair like Steve, Has Big Hair phonetically Des - Ig - Nair not nar-aey it is an actual word please look it up. As stated no offence your content is excellent and knowledge impeccable. Online translation will not help in this regard because most are in an italian dialect, (which the word incidentally comes from but I assure you that the english pronunciation is as stated. Think, Des-Ig-Nair, like, Millionaire.

I might just buy my first ever Lian Li case. The O11-Mini looks very nice for me to run a very quiet but still good performance gaming rig. No watercooling, positive pressure with bottom only intake fans. Looks like a winner to me: D Now to wait for release and review by Gamers Nexus (the best reviews out there, no doubt in my mind at all) or Roman (8Bauer, also does great reviews, but not quite my scene. Meh. spoke too soon, Mini PSU needed. next.

I'm interested in those fans and rgb cables. like holy shit, the fans are my cable management wet dream. 3 fans, 2 cables, RGB, presumably good quality fans, rgb that isn't a genetic ring fan, etc. hopefully it can be powered without issues off the motherboard and 3rd party software can control the RGB (I use calprogrammer's keyboard visualizer to fine tune my rgb rhythm game seizure experience. And I want the rgb cables for similar reasons.

Those UniFans solve one of the biggest problems in cable management: Redundant cables. I REALLY want to see those hit the market and other manufacturers do this style of fan too, because its especially great if you have a set of those on a rad and only need to run a single cable for PWM and another for LED - where instead you'd run 3x PWM plus 3x LED, which is six wires just to have all your fans up there. Really cool!

That unifan looks super cool I'd totally buy them. Super useful for removing cables from your system. Now hopefully they are good fans. I absolutely LOVE the removable motherboard tray. Its something I really miss from the older days of systems. It is sooo much easier to deal with a system on a tray and then just slide the majority into the case rather then have to reach into the case to do things.

I'm missing cases that looked cool on the outside while still having a window to see the inside. Like looking at a classic car and all it's curves yet being able to open the hood to look at the power plant. Today's cases are looking just like a fish tank basically. Getting bored with them, all look the same basically. They are basically making the basic case box, but with clear sides.

I am EXTREMELY excited about the O-11 Dynamic Mini. I was just looking at the PC-Q37 as a side ITX to match my Dynamic XL but the Q37 had too many drawbacks. I think this will address them and I will be buying it as soon as its available. Also interested so find out more on the linked fans. I hope they are Hydro Bearings and not sleeved so they can be placed in any orientation.
